TARGET SILHOUETTE

WHICH OBJECT MATCHES?

The matching object may be rotated. A reflected shape is a distractor.

HOW TO PLAY

Match structure, not color

  1. 01

Study the solid pixel silhouette above the four candidates.

  2. 02

Mentally rotate each detailed object. Its blocks must connect in exactly the same pattern.

  3. 03

Press 1–4 or tap the matching card before the timing bar reaches zero.

SHAPE RECOGNITION

What does silhouette matching use?

Silhouette matching combines visual search, mental rotation, and rapid comparison. The candidate details help separate the objects without making color the answer.

A rotated copy keeps the same block connections. A mirror reverses the shape's handedness, so it does not count as a match.

Accuracy first, then reaction time

Standard mode scores all 16 rounds. Accuracy includes mistakes and timeouts, while average reaction time uses correct answers only.

Endless mode ranks your correct streak. The timing window shrinks from 3.2 seconds to 0.8 seconds and one miss ends the run.

QUESTIONS

Silhouette match game FAQ

Does a rotated object still match?

Yes. Turning a shape by 90, 180, or 270 degrees does not change its structure, so a rotated copy is correct.

Why does a mirror image not match?

Reflection reverses the order of a shape's turns. No amount of rotation can make a chiral pixel shape line up with its mirror.

What happens after a wrong answer?

Standard mode records the mistake and continues until all 16 rounds are complete. Endless mode has one life, so a mistake or timeout ends the run.

Can I play without using color?

Yes. The answer depends only on each object's occupied blocks. Borders, patterns, labels, and accessible descriptions distinguish the candidate cards.
