A TRUE REFLECTION?

Imagine a vertical mirror between the figures. Every block must reflect horizontally.

Keyboard: M = Mirror · N = Not Mirror · Touch or mouse: use the two labeled buttons

HOW TO PLAY

Check every block across the mirror line

  1. 01

Compare the asymmetric reference on the left with the figure on the right.

  2. 02

Picture the left figure flipped horizontally—not rotated or moved block by block.

  3. 03

Choose Mirror only when every reflected block matches. A single changed block means Not Mirror.

VISUAL DISCRIMINATION

What does this mirror image test challenge?

You must scan an irregular pixel structure, reverse its left-right orientation mentally, and make a two-choice response before the timer expires.

Every reference is intentionally asymmetric. Not Mirror pairs contain a real structural change, so no trial depends on an ambiguous or visually symmetric figure.

Accuracy comes before speed

Standard mode balances 10 Mirror and 10 Not Mirror answers. Accuracy includes wrong answers and timeouts; speed averages use correct answers only.

QUESTIONS

Mirror image reaction test FAQ

What counts as a mirror image?

The right figure must match the horizontal flip of the left figure exactly, as if a vertical mirror stood between the two boards.

How is Not Mirror made unambiguous?

Every non-mirror pair uses a predefined figure with a clearly moved block. It cannot be the exact horizontal reflection of its reference.

How does endless mode work?

The first answer has 3 seconds. Each correct answer shortens the next deadline toward 0.7 seconds. One mistake or timeout ends the run.

Does this work on phones and computers?

Yes. Tap the two large buttons on mobile, click them with a mouse, or press M and N on a keyboard.
