HOW TO PLAY

Repeat a pattern that grows every round

  1. 01

Start a round and watch each colored symbol light up. Inputs are locked during playback.

  2. 02

When “Your turn” appears, reproduce the full pattern with keys 1–4 or the four touch pads.

  3. 03

Complete all 10 standard rounds, or keep a perfect streak against the endless round timer.

SEQUENCE RECALL

What does this Simon game test?

You must encode a visual sequence, hold its order in working memory, then reproduce it quickly. Distinct symbols and positions make every pad identifiable without relying on color alone.

This is a recreational browser challenge, not a clinical memory assessment. Device latency, attention, familiarity, and input method all affect results.

Finish the pattern before chasing speed

Standard accuracy counts all 10 rounds. Recall time starts only after playback ends and stops when you complete the sequence or make the first mistake.

For a fair comparison, replay the same mode on the same device and use the same keyboard or touch input.

QUESTIONS

Simon sequence game FAQ

How many rounds are in standard mode?

Exactly 10. Round one contains one step, and each new round adds a step until the final 10-step sequence.

What happens if I make a mistake?

In standard mode the mistake lowers accuracy and the next round still begins. In endless mode, the first wrong step ends the run.

How does the endless timer work?

Each round has one response window sized for its sequence length. The pattern grows to 10 steps, then keeps refreshing at maximum length while the time per step falls.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes. The board has four large touch targets. Every pad also has a symbol and position, so color is never the only cue.
