HOW TO PLAY

The labels vanish after your first correct choice

  1. 01

Scan the scattered tiles and memorize where each number appears.

  2. 02

Choose 1. Every remaining number is immediately covered, but each tile stays in place.

  3. 03

Continue with 2, 3, and upward before each current-selection timer empties.

SPATIAL ORDER MEMORY

Why do the numbers become covered?

The first choice switches the task from visible ordering to spatial recall. You must remember both each number and its location while moving upward through the sequence.

Standard mode uses ten progressively larger sets. Three misses end the run, and any unplayed rounds are recorded as forfeited so results remain comparable.

QUESTIONS

Chimp number order test FAQ

When do the numbers disappear?

Immediately after you correctly choose 1. The remaining tiles stay visible but their labels are covered.

What does the timing bar measure?

It measures the time for your current selection and resets after every correct tile.

What happens when all three lives are lost?

The standard test ends. Remaining rounds count as forfeited so every ranked standard result uses the same ten-round rule.

Is this a clinical test?

No. It is a recreational memory challenge, not a medical, diagnostic, or intelligence assessment.
