READY?

A → X IS THE ONLY TARGET

Remember the first letter, then classify the pair after the second appears.

SEQUENCE READY·A → X = TARGET

Keyboard: T or 1 = TARGET · O or 2 = OTHER. Touch or mouse: use the two large answer buttons.

HOW TO PLAY

Hold the first letter until the probe appears

  1. 01

Watch the context letter A or B, then keep it in mind through the short blank interval.

  2. 02

When X or Y appears, combine it with the context letter you just saw.

  3. 03

Choose TARGET only for AX. Choose OTHER for AY, BX, and BY before the bar empties.

CONTEXT + PROBE

Why use four pair types?

AX requires the target response. AY begins with the expected context but ends differently; BX contains X without A; BY contains neither target component.

Standard mode balances all four types across 30 pairs so neither the context nor the probe alone is enough.

ENTERTAINMENT CHALLENGE

Not a clinical attention test

This activity is for entertainment and personal practice. It is not a validated AX-CPT, clinical continuous performance test, or diagnostic assessment.

Practice, display timing, device latency, interruptions, and input method can all affect results.

QUESTIONS

AX-CPT reaction test FAQ

Which pair is the target?

Only AX: the context must be A and the following probe must be X.

Why is BX classified as OTHER?

X is a target probe only when it follows A. Because BX begins with B, it requires OTHER.

How does endless mode get harder?

The letter display, blank interval, and answer window all shorten after correct responses. One error or timeout ends the run.

Is this a diagnostic test?

No. It is a recreational decision game and should not be used for diagnosis or medical decisions.
