HOW TO PLAY

Catch the second target after X

  1. 01

Start a sequence and keep your eyes on the center of the rapid digit stream.

  2. 02

Notice the first target X, then look for a second target A, B, C, or D.

  3. 03

After playback stops, choose the second target or NONE before the answer bar empties.

RAPID VISUAL ATTENTION

Why use two targets?

The first target captures attention. The second target follows after either a short or long number of stream positions, challenging you to notice and remember it.

Standard mode gives each lag group equal weight and includes target-absent sequences, so guessing one favorite letter is not enough.

ENTERTAINMENT CHALLENGE

Display timing, browser scheduling, device refresh rate, vision, familiarity, and practice can all affect a score.

QUESTIONS

Attentional blink test FAQ

What should I look for?

Find X first, then remember whether A, B, C, or D appeared later in the same rapid stream.

What does short or long lag mean?

It describes how many stream positions separate the first and second targets. Standard mode includes ten of each.

When should I choose NONE?

Choose NONE when the stream contained X but no second target letter A, B, C, or D.

Is this a clinical test?

No. It is a recreational attention game and should not be used for diagnosis or medical decisions.
