After the cards hide, select one card and then its matching partner.

  3. 03

Matched cards stay open. A mismatch turns back over after a brief reveal.

LOCATION MEMORY

A complete board preview

Unlike blind trial-and-error matching, the board begins fully visible so the main challenge is retaining symbol locations.

The symbols are shuffled for every board, and each symbol appears exactly twice.

READ YOUR RESULT

Fast, but accurate

Standard results include total time, card flips, and mismatches across one fixed 4 × 4 board.

Endless boards grow from three pairs. The first mismatch, second-card timeout, or board timeout ends the run.

QUESTIONS

Pair memory race FAQ

How long is the preview?

The full board remains visible briefly before all unmatched cards turn face down.

What counts as a flip?

Every newly selected hidden card adds one flip. Selecting the already-open card does nothing.

Can I use the keyboard?

Yes. Tab to any card and press Enter or Space to flip it.

How does endless mode grow?

Each cleared board introduces more pairs, up to a 24-card grid, while mistakes immediately end the run.
