READY?

SPOT THE DOUBLE JUMP

Normal ticks move one position. An anomaly moves two.

NEXT CLOCK TICK—

Press Space or tap only after a two-position jump. Do nothing after a normal tick.

HOW TO PLAY

One step is normal. Two steps need a response.

  1. 01

Follow the hand as it advances around the 24-position clock.

  2. 02

    Ignore every normal one-position movement.

  3. 03

Press Space or tap Detect as quickly as possible after a two-position jump.

SUSTAINED FOCUS

A short vigilance challenge

The regular rhythm encourages an automatic expectation. Rare double jumps test whether you continue monitoring each movement.

This is a casual, shortened browser game inspired by a classic vigilance format. It is not a medical or diagnostic assessment.

Balance detection and restraint

Hits are correctly detected double jumps. Misses are undetected anomalies, and false alarms are responses to normal ticks.

Fast reaction helps only after an anomaly. Pressing on every tick lowers accuracy and ends an endless run.

QUESTIONS

Mackworth clock game FAQ

What is the unusual jump?

A normal tick advances one marker. The target anomaly advances two markers in a single tick.

How long is standard mode?

It contains 40 quick ticks and normally finishes in about half a minute.

What is a false alarm?

Pressing Detect after a normal one-position tick counts as a false alarm.

How does endless mode change?

The interval between ticks gradually shortens. A missed anomaly or false alarm immediately ends the run.
