HAND-EYE COORDINATION GUIDE

WHAT DOES A HAND-EYE COORDINATION TEST MEASURE?

An online coordination test measures how consistently you turn a visual target into a timed pointer or touch response. Different drills emphasize different parts of that chain.

TRY THE COMBINED TEST

THE MEASURED PARTS

One label, several distinct demands

Look at sub-scores before the total. A similar overall result can come from very different strengths.

PRECISION

Endpoint accuracy

How close the pointer or touch lands to the center of a stationary target.

INTERCEPTION

Predictive timing

How well you estimate a moving target's future position and act before it passes.

PURSUIT

Continuous tracking

How often your pointer stays on a target while both direction and speed change.

READING THE RESULT

Compare like with like

The most useful comparison is your own repeated standard-mode result on the same device. Mouse, trackpad, and touch require different movements and should be treated as separate baselines.

IMPORTANT LIMITS

The setup is part of the test

Display delay, browser timing, pointer acceleration, sensitivity, target size, and input hardware all influence the result.

The test also leaves out depth, full-body movement, fatigue, and real opponents. Use it for entertainment and personal tracking, not clinical interpretation.

QUICK QUESTIONS

Coordination test FAQ

Is hand-eye coordination the same as reaction time?

No. Reaction time is part of the task, but coordination tests also include movement control, timing, and accuracy.

Why is my touch score different from my mouse score?

The inputs use different movement ranges and add different device delays. Keep separate baselines for each.

Can a browser test diagnose a coordination problem?

No. A browser game cannot diagnose a condition or replace evaluation by a qualified professional.
